Chair Yoga at Work

Disclaimer: Please don’t do any exercise or yoga unless you get clearance from your Doctor.  As with all exercise, move at your own pace and know your limitations.  Always move through the poses slowly and sync the movements with your breath, don’t hold your breath!  Follow your instincts and let your body tell you how long to hold each pose.  Maybe it’s 3 breaths, may it is only 1 breath, whatever feels right to you.  Don’t push, don’t over stretch, this is not a competition, allow your body to relax into the poses. Maybe some of the poses feel right and others don’t, do the ones that feel good for your body.  At the end of the sequence, sit quietly and take 3 – 10 breaths, in through the nose and out through mouth.  Allow the breaths to flow at your own pace.  This should allow you to feel refreshed and recharged to jump back into your day!
